Irish crochet with a modern twist

For years I have been admiring Irish crochet!
the way all this roses, leaves and other motifs are crocheted and then attached to each other.....
Since my health is not that good nowadays, I spend a lot of time just sitting..
well, not just sitting in an idle way, I have been gathering information and knowledge about this form of crochet.

two weeks ago I started, with the silk yarn I have in stash.
I realized white would not really work for me, so I paint the motifs I crochet, and the yarn for the ground I paint in skeins.
So I have control over each color on each place!

For the photo I took it of the groundfabric to look to it, and I really like it!

Because I use silk, and don't work it too tight, it really gets a flow what will make it very suitable for a top!

exploring fibre- needlefelting

Finally I am back on exploring new ways to work with Fibres!
I have been needle felting with silk, banafibre and viscose on a cotton batting.
Don't now how it is possible, but it turned out in another landscape.......

Long a go I was an avid machineknitter, and from this era there were some unfinished objects, I picked a sleeve and felted the landscape on it.
With a combination of viscose and silk I crocheted a treelike structure(freeform)
and felted and sewed it on the background
All together it looks quite nice to me.....
